How to choose a contact grill:

In order to select the ideal contact grill, it is good to think about what functions and what it should be able to do.

When choosing, focus on the following:

  • Method of use - for an occasional domestic preparation of food or daily use
  • Power consumption - the higher the wattage, the faster the grilling with better results
  • Options temperature settings - for different types of preparation
  • Dimensions of the grilling plate - to prepare more food for more people at once a larger plate is needed
  • Non-stick surface - guaranteed healthier grilling without adding oil

In the case of frequent use of the grill, it is better to choose a contact grill, which offers a range of grill functions such as hamburgers, poultry, toasts / panini, bratwurst, red meat, fish and a manual mode.

 

Contact grills can be divided into three categories:

For home use - they are characterised by compact dimensions, basic functions and low power consumption. They are light, portable and ideal for occasional food preparation. They are very easy to clean.

Semi professional - they have larger grilling areas, are suitable for the preparation of several meals at the same time and offer a continuous temperature control. They have removable grill plates and an adjustable height of the top plate. They have a power consumption of more than 1500W.

Professional - they have a large grill area, allow the preparation of food for 6-8 persons, offer continuous temperature regulation and a wattage of 2000W They also have different grill programs, such as hamburgers, poultry, toast / panini, bratwurst, red meat, fish and a manual mode.

Most contact grills are equipped with a non-stick coating for healthy grilling, an oil draining bowl and a heat-insulated handle.
