Grooving milling machine

A grooving router, often referred to as a "laminating router" or "laminating machine", is a specialized tool designed for making solid and hidden joints, especially in wood and board materials such as particleboard or MDF. Its main task is to mill shallow crescent-shaped grooves into the side of the parts to be joined. An oval moulding made of pressed wood, the so-called "joining slat", colloquially known as a "biscuit", is then inserted into these opposing grooves. After the glue has been applied, the slat swells in the groove to form a very strong and precise joint that is not visible from the outside. The tool is equipped with an adjustable stop that allows precise positioning of the groove as well as milling at different angles to create corner or mitre joints. The milling depth is also adjustable according to the size of the slat used.
