LP Record "Edge Of Thorns" is the seventh studio album from the band Savatage. It is their first work with Zak Stevens as vocalist and the last with Criss Oliva on guitar: Criss died in a car accident on 7th October 1993 after this album's release. His tragic death marked a terrible period for his bandmates, especially for his brother Jon, who decided to end Savatage. Fortunately, he changed his mind after the release of the album "Handful Of Rain", which was intended to be Savatage's postscript. "Edge Of Thorns" is a mature work and represents another step forward in the musical evolution of this unique band.
LP Record A legend remains a legend Great news for all hard rock fans: none other than Deep Purple are releasing a new album in 2020. "Whoosh!" is the name of the British band's 21st studio album, the eagerly awaited successor to 2017's "inFinite". For the album, Deep Purple recorded 13 songs in Nashville. Ian Gillan and co. were assisted in the songwriting and production by Canadian Bob Ezrin. "Whoosh!" is available as a limited edition CD plus DVD, which also includes the one-hour video "Roger Glover and Bob Ezrin in Conversation" and the band's previously unreleased performance at Hellfest 2017.
LP Record There's no need for nostalgia. Double is better – that's why Deep Purple are releasing two new live recordings in 2015. "To The Rising Sun" is one of them, capturing the rock band's performance in Tokyo in April 2014. They chose the Japanese martial arts and concert hall, the Nippon Budōkan, as the recording venue. This is where Deep Purple recorded a large part of their legendary double album "Made In Japan" back in 1972. On "To The Rising Sun", they returned to the same spot 42 years later – albeit with a slightly different line-up. Singer Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover, and drummer Ian Paice were already rocking Tokyo back in 1972. In 2014, they were joined by Steve Morse on guitar and Don Airey on Hammond organ and keyboards.
LP Record This concert evening in Paris not only showcased the Mark III lineup at the peak of their powers but also documented the final performance with Ritchie Blackmore before he left the band to form Rainbow. It was an incredible show in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans at the Palais des Sports Arena, featuring over two hours of amazing rock music, complete with drum and guitar solos that were as powerful as they were fascinating. A contemporary document of Deep Purple's influence on the world of rock.
LP Record Deep Purple rock France After releasing their 20th album, "inFinite", in April 2017, Deep Purple took the new songs to international stages several times. In 2017, the British rock legends played at Hellfest in Clisson, France's biggest festival, among other venues. The recording, "The inFinite Live Recordings, Vol. 1", is now finally available on three LPs. This previously unreleased recording runs for approximately 80 minutes and features songs from the new album as well as some classic tracks, including "Fireball", "Strange Kind Of Woman", "Space Truckin'", and "Smoke On The Water". There's a special treat in store for Deep Purple fans and record lovers: "The inFinite Live Recordings, Vol. 1".
LP Record Marillion's 2012 album, Sounds That Can't Be Made, is excellent. It features lots of great songs. My favourite track on the album is "The Sky Above the Rain". I really love the lyrics of that song. I also like the melody and the way the song sounds. I think the album is well worth buying.
LP Record Deep Purple with an unusual line-up On 27th February 1976, Deep Purple played a legendary concert at the Long Beach Arena in California. With the recording "Long Beach 1976", a mastered version of the live recording is now available on two CDs and three LPs. The performance was first released in 1995 under the title "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents: Deep Purple in Concert". In 2009, a new version of the live album followed, titled "Live at Long Beach 1976". The album "Long Beach 1976" features the so-called Mark IV line-up of Deep Purple, consisting of singer David Coverdale, guitarist and singer Tommy Bolin, keyboardist Jon Lord, bassist and singer Glenn Hughes, and drummer Ian Paice.
LP Record Since their formation in 1968, Deep Purple have sold over 100 million albums worldwide and created timeless classics with songs like "Smoke On The Water", "Highway Star", "Space Truckin'", "Hush", "My Woman From Tokyo", "Perfect Strangers" and "Knocking At Your Backdoor", influencing countless bands then and now. Eight years after their last studio album, "Rapture Of The Deep" – a period during which the band played countless shows and toured extensively, selling over 60,000 tickets in Germany alone on their last tour in autumn 2012 – the band decided to record a new studio album.
LP Record An ecstatic crowd gathers before a large stage in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thousands of fans are calling out for her: the one and only Tarja. The fans have already got their cameras and mobile phones out, ready to record the breathtaking performance. Then, at last, Tarja appears. The show can begin. "Luna Park Ride" was filmed on 27th March 2011 at the Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during Tarja's "What Lies Beneath World Tour 2011". Previously only available as part of the strictly limited and long sold-out edition of her Top 5 album "Act I", the stunning "Luna Park Ride" is finally getting a standalone release.
LP Record First released in 2003, the album "The Eyes of Alice Cooper" marks the rocker's return to the hard rock sound that launched his career in the early 1970s. This gatefold edition on black 180g vinyl, featuring a collection of 13 impressive tracks like "What Do You Want From Me?", "Man Of The Year", and "Novocaine", will delight any Alice Cooper fan.
LP Record First released in 2001, "Dragontown" is the acclaimed sequel to the album "Brutal Planet", taking the listener to the most terrifying place on the aforementioned planet. With its multi-layered songwriting and uncompromising heavy industrial metal sound, "Dragontown" is Alice Cooper's first album without any singles. The album is now being released by earMUSIC as a heavyweight gatefold edition on black vinyl.
LP Record What more is there to say about Deep Purple? Alongside Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Black Sabbath, the band is considered a founder of the heavy rock genre. Deep Purple influenced countless young people in the 70s and are – yes, you can say it out loud – legendary. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide and hits that have become part of our collective memory, their legacy speaks for itself. After Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Graz, the fifth instalment of the exclusive ten-part reissue series takes us to Long Beach, California, on 30th July 1971. This concert has long been regarded as a milestone in the band's history, taking place between the release of their fourth studio album, "In Rock" (1970), and "Machine Head" (1972).
LP Record Now What?! is the nineteenth studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, released in 2013. It was their first album in eight years and the first with singer Ian Gillan since 1984. The album was produced by Bob Ezrin.
LP Record Released in 2005, Deep Purple's album Rapture of the Deep is packed with hard rock anthems. The album is a superb mix of old and new Deep Purple, and is sure to please fans of the band. With tracks like "Bad Attitude" and "Rapture of the Deep", the album is guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping.
LP Record The hard rock legends' twentieth studio album is well on its way to becoming one of the band's most successful albums, breaking several chart records set during their fifty-year history. In Germany, it sold more copies in the first two days after its release than its predecessor, "NOW What?!", did in its entire first week. This is a surprising result, as "NOW What?!" also topped the charts. Globally, everything points to "inFinite" being the best-selling album since the groundbreaking "Perfect Strangers" (1984).
