Music CD Product information - This new edition of Ace Records' long-running and highly acclaimed Songwriters series features hand-picked recordings of songs by Canadian poet Leonard Cohen, including two songs that the great man himself never recorded. - "I've never lost the pleasure of someone covering one of my songs. I don't feel a sense of ownership, which probably comes from growing up as a folk singer, where it was understood that songs acquire a patina through interpretation. I feel that is a mark of excellence," Cohen once said. - Here is your chance to experience that excellence through 18 eclectic recordings of Cohen's songs by a wide variety of artists spanning five decades.
