I started the Girl in Red project in September 2017 and I’m still going.” This is how the charming Girl in Red describes herself. The first chapter, in which Marie Ulven from Horten spent the first year and a half making music as Girl in Red, sounds almost like a fantasy novel. At the end of 2018, Girl in Red released her first songs, which she had recorded within her own four walls, on her debut EP “chapter 1”. Since then, she has gained a large following for her honest and direct lyrics about same-sex sexuality, summer depression and the thoughts of a 20-year-old girl.

LP Record The Cult is fronted by Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar). Their music and albums need little introduction, as they have established themselves as one of the greatest rock bands since their formation in 1983. In 1994, they released their sixth, self-titled album, The Cult, which is also known as the "Black Sheep" album due to its cover art. It was recorded with Sonic Temple producer Bob Rock and is a very personal album, with many of the narrative themes relating to Astbury's younger years. Unlike their previous albums, this one was a slower burn, opening up more with each listen. The album is considered an overlooked and underrated gem and preceded the band's break-up in 1995.

LP Record In 1967, Pink Floyd were the epitome of London's counter-culture. In the band's early days, Syd Barrett was its creative driving force. He wrote the two psychedelic hits, Arnold Layne and See Emily Play, but sadly his mental health declined and he became too unreliable – especially for live concerts. He went on to record the albums "Barrett" and "The Madcap Laughs". His solo debut, The Madcap Laughs, particularly showcased the diverse, sometimes revolutionary, ideas he wanted to bring to life all at once.

LP Record Marillion's 2012 album, Sounds That Can't Be Made, is excellent. It features lots of great songs. My favourite track on the album is "The Sky Above the Rain". I really love the lyrics of that song. I also like the melody and the way the song sounds. I think the album is well worth buying.
