Young Fathers: Heavy Heavy Ltd Clr
LP Record Young Fathers – Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole and G. Hastings – are releasing their long-awaited new album, "Heavy Heavy", in 2023. This ten-track project signals a return to basics, recorded without external producers in a small home studio with just a few instruments and microphones: everything always plugged in, everything always within reach. Alloysious writes about the album: "Every album has to be better than the last one. That's our mentality. If it wasn't better, it wouldn't be released." For him, this album isn't really about the ten songs on the tracklist. It's about what happened to the trio in the long, crazy years since the release of "Cocoa Sugar". "Heavy Heavy" is a testament to what remains from that time. A story of triumphant survival, of an abundance of existence.

The band's eighth album offers unpretentiously melodic and enchanting progressive folk metal that will instantly resonate with those who have followed the musicians' two-decade-long career. Although the group is known for its fast pace, releasing its first five full-length albums in seven years, six years passed between Valkyrja and Hel – more time than ever before between one production and the next. In the meantime, the band toured constantly around the world, including with Children Of Bodom across North America and as part of the 70,000 Tons of Metal tour. However, work on the new album was also delayed by other factors.

The Byrds: The Notorious Byrd Brothers
LP Record Although some people only know The Byrds for their covers, critics consider the band one of the most important and influential groups of the 1960s. Their signature sound of clean vocal harmonies and jangly guitars, combined with the sound of the 'British Invasion' from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, made The Byrds pioneers of folk rock, psychedelic rock, raga rock, and country rock. Recording the album The Notorious Byrd Brothers in 1968, at the height of the Flower Power movement, required a Herculean effort; disagreements over artistic direction and internal strife meant that by the end of the recording sessions, only two members of The Byrds remained. Despite everything, the album was a labour of love.
