New Arrivals - Blues

Music CD Produced by Terry Knight, "Closer To Home" is the third studio album by GRAND FUNK RAILROAD and was originally released in 1970. That same year, the album achieved gold status, marking the band's third (!) gold record of the year. The inside sleeve of the record features a live photograph of the band on stage at Madison Square Garden in 1970. "Closer To Home" is the record that secured GRAND FUNK RAILROAD the commercial success they deserved alongside masters like LED ZEPPELIN or BLACK SABBATH. Instead of diving headfirst into their typical hard, over-the-top loud sound, the band focus more on great production here.
