Katatonia: The Great Cold Distance
LP Record The Great Cold Distance is the sixth studio album by the Swedish metal band Katatonia, released on 3rd April 2006. The album was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, and produced by Jens Bogren. It is the band's first album to feature new drummer Daniel Liljekvist, who replaced Martin Lopez after his departure in 2005. The album received a favourable response from critics, with many reviewers praising the band's shift towards a more progressive sound. It was also a commercial success, reaching number 44 on the Swedish albums chart. The album spawned two singles, "My Twin" and "Deliberation".

After several line-up changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for its final line-up: Corey Taylor, Mick Thomson, Jim Root, Paul Gray, Craig Jones, Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Chris Fehn and Shawn Crahan. Slipknot's self-titled debut album was released in 1999 and reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced two singles, "Wait and Bleed" and "Spit It Out", which reached number thirty-one and twenty-eight respectively on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

LP Record With "Thunderbolt", Saxon presents its 22nd studio album in 2018 – a thunderous collection. The album title says it all, delivering a stormy, electrifying and mighty collection of songs. The British metal icons have recorded a total of twelve tracks for "Thunderbolt", though unlike the CD, the LP version unfortunately comes without the bonus track "Nosferatu (Raw Version)". Andy Sneap handled the production. Peter "Biff" Byford and his bandmates gave us the first taste of their new album back in December 2017 with the title track. And it shows: on "Thunderbolt", Saxon maintains the hard-hitting pace of its two predecessors, "Battering Ram" and "Sacrifice". Just as it should be.
