While She Sleeps: So What? Clr Ltd
LP Record Just two years after their last album, British metalcore band While She Sleeps are back with their new record, "So What?". After the Sheffield quintet broke into the UK Top 10 albums chart for the first time with their previous album "You Are We", they are now ready to take the next step. With "So What?", While She Sleeps manage to balance left-wing political subculture with the rock/metal mainstream. Their songwriting has become more accessible and commercial, without ever sounding cheesy or polished. "'You Are We' gave us a certain reach," says guitarist Sean Long. What's next? "I don't want to chase anyone. I want people to follow us," says the confident While She Sleeps musician.
The Rolling Stones: Havana Moon LTD
LP Record The Stones make music history once again On 25 March 2016, the time finally came: The Rolling Stones performed for the first time in the Cuban capital of Havana. Their fans had to wait decades for this moment, as rock music had long been banned in Cuba. "Havana Moon" is the name of the new concert film and live album that impressively documents this historic performance across several special formats. Admission was free that evening, as the low local wages meant almost no one could have afforded a ticket otherwise. The fans gratefully accepted. Attended by approximately 450000 people, the show was the largest rock concert in the history of the Caribbean island nation.
All Them Witches: ATW coloured vinyl
LP Record Recorded by the band's guitarist Ben McLeod at a cabin in Kingston Springs, just 20 miles from Nashville, and mixed by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith, Kurt Vile), this new album is arguably the most intimate and natural record All Them Witches have ever made, further redefining the band. Rejoined by founding member, keyboardist, and percussionist Jonathan Draper, All Them Witches is also a reaction to being a 'bigger' band playing bigger shows, going on bigger tours, etc. McLeod, bassist/vocalist Charles Michael Parks, Jr., drummer/guitarist Robby Staebler, and the aforementioned Draper return to the core aspects of their identity.
Transatlantic: The Absolute Universe, The Breath Of Life (Abridged Version)
LP Record Transatlantic has never been a band to back down from a challenge. It's no surprise, then, that on their fifth album, Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Pete Trewavas and Mike Portnoy are doing something unusual. "We came up with something unprecedented," Portnoy said proudly. "We have two versions of the album. There's a 2CD version ('Forevermore') which is 90 minutes long, and a single CD version ('The Breath Of Life') which is 60 minutes long. The single CD is NOT an edited version of the double CD. These are new recordings. We used different approaches to the songs to create them! We've written new lyrics and different people sing on the single CD version than on the double CD version. We've reworked the songs to make the two versions different."
