LP Record Back on Earth The new album from celebrated art-pop icon Björk is finally here. The distinctive singer has once again completely reinvented her sound, adapting her look, art direction, and overall visual style to match the album's central theme. The eagerly awaited work will be called "Fossora", which the Icelander explains as follows: "It's a word I made up. It's the feminine version of 'fossore' (digger, grave-digger), so in short, it means 'she who digs' (in the earth). Sonically, it's all about bass, about heavy bottom end. We have six bass clarinets and a powerful sub-bass". The sound of "Fossora" is therefore a deliberate alternative to the spherical airiness of its predecessor, "Utopia", which was laced with the sounds of flutes and strings.
