LP Record Transatlantic have never been a band to back down from a challenge. It should come as no surprise, then, that Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Pete Trewavas and Mike Portnoy are doing something unusual for their fifth album. “We came up with something unprecedented,” Portnoy said proudly. “We have two versions of this album. There's a 2CD version ('Forevermore'), which is 90 minutes long, and a single CD version ('The Breath Of Life'), which is 60 minutes long. The single CD is NOT an edited version of the double CD. These are new recordings. We used different approaches to the songs to create them! We've written new lyrics, and different people sing on the single CD version than on the double CD version. We've rearranged the songs to make the two versions distinct.”
