LP Record Scars and scratches. Millions of fans have been waiting for this. Queens Of The Stone Age are finally releasing their new album, "In Times New Roman…", in June 2023. The eighth studio album from the band, led by lyricist, guitarist, and singer Josh Homme, is raw, at times brutal, and a sharp punch to the gut. It’s an album full of scars and scratches, whose true beauty can only be discovered beneath its rough surface. The extremely biting lyrics are hard-hitting. The last few years, filled with uncertainty and emotional setbacks, have clearly taken their toll on Josh Homme. The band also felt a bit lost after the tour for their previous album, "Villains", ended. They couldn't find any new music to inspire them. And so, the quintet created the album "In Times New Roman…".

LP Record With this album, Oldfield followed up his brilliant debut, "Tubular Bells", which has long since made its mark on music history since its release on 25.5.1973. Listening to the new album, the parallels and differences with the original "Tubular Bells" are immediately clear. The structure of the music is partly identical. The "Master of Ceremonies", the "Monster Roar", and the "Western Saloon" at the end are all present once again. The compositions more or less correspond to the 'spirit' of the original in tempo and timbre, but the melodies are completely new. As a result, "Tubular Bells II" feels very familiar on one hand, yet quite different on the other. Any concern that Mike Oldfield had simply created a plagiarism of his own work is impressively dispelled.
