The band, fronted by Tom G Warrior, is considered the most important extreme metal band in Switzerland and a pioneer of the black metal genre.
Skyclad: The Silent Whales Of Lunar Sea Ltd Clr
LP Record Skyclad: The Silent Whales Of Lunar Sea is a folk metal album released in 1995 by the British band Skyclad. This album presents a unique blend of heavy metal with elements of traditional folk music, featuring violins and other folk instruments alongside electric guitars and drums. The tracklist includes a range of songs, such as "Halo Of Flies", "Still Spinning Shrapnel", and "Just What Nobody Wanted", each weaving intricate stories with socially conscious and often satirical lyrics. Other tracks like "Art-Nazi" and "Jeopardy" continue this trend, while "Brimstone Ballet" and "A Stranger In The Garden" offer a more atmospheric experience.
Tankard: Stone Cold Sober Ltd Clr
LP Record Noise Records is issuing high-quality re-editions of Tankard's early albums. Fully remastered with new notes and previously unreleased visuals. Tankard is a thrash metal band from Frankfurt, Germany, formed in 1982. Along with Kreator, Destruction, and Sodom, Tankard are often referred to as one of the "big teutonic four" of German thrash metal. They released their first album in 1986 and have continued writing and recording ever since in the same style they started with: fast thrash metal about beer and alcohol. When thrash metal took a bit of a backseat to grunge in the nineties, Tankard stayed true to themselves and in 1992 released another excellent slice of teutonic thrash with the ironic title "Stone Cold Sober".
