As Vince Clarke's successor, Wilder was the former fourth man in Depeche Mode and was responsible for their style-defining sound in the 80s and 90s. It's dedicated to the songs that shaped not only him but also his musical colleagues and friends during his childhood and youth: Dylan sings songs from the Great American Songbook. Dylan doesn't want the songs on his new album "Shadows In The Night" to be seen as cover versions. Firstly, he himself has been covered all too often. And secondly, the word "cover" can also mean to conceal or obscure something. On the contrary, Dylan considers his versions of these classics to be discoveries and revelations. The Great American Songbook and Frank Sinatra Bob Dylan had wanted to record the album now released as "Shadows In The Night" ever since the 1970s.
