For more than 11 years, I have had a flagship plasma from Panasonic with THX certification for 2D and 3D images, which still puts most current TVs to shame, but LG' s OLED panels prove that it' s time to change the home TV thanks to the larger diagonal and resolution that is in the case lower quality offset by AI in ever more perfect chipsets. The 65" LG OLED65C31 TV was a logical choice for the price/performance ratio and it did not disappoint. The sound on the older Panasonic TV is from Harman Kardon with an integrated subwoofer. and on this TV, the sound does not fall behind significantly. LG has been the market leader for 10 years and supplies panels to more than 20 TV manufacturers, including Samsung and Panasonic. That says it all. If you want to have the best picture in terms of color range, contrast, speed, motion sharpness, then LG is the right choice.
The question is regarding the reliability and lifespan of the panels, which played a big role in the past when deciding whether to buy a new OLED model or wait, because there is practically no substitute for the plasma from Panasonic in terms of image parameters. Now it seems that the manufacturer is confident in its panels, when it already gives a 5-year warranty, although it is only for the G models so far.

Lepší TV jsem zatím neměl. Po utrpení od Philipsu je to neuvěřitelný rozdíl. Rozhodoval jsem mezi LG C3 a Samsung S95C, ten jsem ale vyřadil kvůli vysoké ceně a minimálními rozdílu v obraze. TV pořízena za 34k.

The brightness is supposedly lower, but if you don' t have the TV directly against the window or a light source, it' s fine even during the day. At night I have to dim the brightness to a minimum.
Picture in Picture fashion
If you plan to buy a soundbar other than LG, it will unfortunately not be " free". With the Sonos Beam 2, the TV does not display a numerical volume value, so you will only have to follow your gut feeling or the Sonos mobile app. Purely a software thing that LG pushes you to buy their soundbar. Unfortunately, there is currently no other solution, but you can get used to it.

It is not possible to play the sound to the optics and at the same time ARC via HDMI. A 5 year old model could do it.

Until now I had a plasma, so I wasn't that surprised by the picture quality, I was more surprised that the preset modes didn't suit me. I've had Sony, Pioneer or Panasonic devices so I bought an LG for my bedroom in advance to try out the apps and a different way of controlling it, which worked quite well. With this TV, however, the controls are absolutely insane, not to mention the level of control. Of course, as usual, no instructions are included and there is no "intuitiveness" to speak of.
