I won' t repeat what the two gentlemen before me said, I basically agree with everything. I' ll just follow up on that. The full-fat Helios (unlike the Neo version) supports 100W charging via both Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back => I leave the heavy charger (which is somehow necessary for a machine of this class) at home, and a high-quality GaN charger is perfect for traveling, which is just a slightly heavier mobile phone charger these days. Or it can be powered by some dokina. I don' t pull cables to work at all. The metal fans are very nice, unlike most competitors they don' t whistle. The performance corresponds to the price, and yes, the older several times cheaper Nitro had a better keyboard layout, because here PgUp, PgDn, Home and End are only on the numpad and their place is senselessly occupied by media freaks. Škoda. On the other hand, no one really does the optimal keyboard layout for laptops these days. peripherals usually solve it, they are desktop replacement machines anyway, which are plugged into the dock most of the time.
Power
IPS has backlight bleed, which is a little more visible in the lower quarter of the right edge of the screen. I saw 4 pieces, they were all the same. No big deal, but I' m not happy about it
Not much speakers
Acer software is not quite top. I don' t like how PredatorSense controls (or rather sometimes doesn' t control) the lighting of the back bar, and also it was necessary to upgrade the dtsapo4service process (connected to DTS audio) which was eating up 1.6GB of RAM for no reason. then it dropped to 100MB.
Too bad the IPS version isn' t sold with the RTX 4080/4090
There is a procedure for opening. If you don' t follow it, there is a risk of breaking the thin plastic tabs between the back bar and the vents of the fans

In the discount for 55k absolutely great buy, only the cable from the socket to the charger looks poor quality, and in the charger almost does not hold. I've been surprised that the game only runs at 30 fps. And then I found out that the laptop wasn't charging. And then the inability to control brightness and volume via the arrow keys, I thought that was a given with every laptop. This can be partially solved through the powertoys app.

I originally got an Asus Rog Strix G18, but that is unusable due to the desperate printing and keyboard backlighting. I have no reservations about this laptop, apart from the size and weight of the adapter (Asus had comparable performance in half the case) and the lack of Home, End, Page Up/Down buttons. But you can live with that. In the 18" category it is in my opinion the best choice
When it was on sale, affordable price
Quality workmanship - metal
Excellent and variable backlighting of the keys, each can be set separately
Large quality display with small edges, comparable in size to an older 17.3" laptop - can use the same bag
Excellent port setup with nothing in the way when working from the side - power is from the back
The performance is not worth commenting on, it is high and absolutely sufficient
Free slot for a second SSD
Really huge and heavy adapter, however for normal work it should be possible to use a better mobile phone charger
Very thick power cord, power connector could come off over time due to the apparent disparity of the cord and connector type
Absence of standard PgUp, Pg Dn, Home and End buttons, which I miss as a programmer
