Out of the box I was really surprised, it looks much better than in the photos. The red color is matte but metallic, the white keys are glossy, the black matte, the whole device is really a solid piece of plastic. In this respect, it is perhaps impossible to have comments. A bit of a disappointment occurred when I discovered that this model only has a USB-B to USB-A connection to the PC, the cable also serves as a power supply. DIN5pin, which is very common on MIDI devices, simply does not happen, nor does any other connection option. After visiting the site to download the software, I was in for another rather unpleasant surprise and that was the need to 1. create and verify an account, 2. register the product, 3. download the inMusic program 4. download and install the iLok license manager (requires a restart), 5. obtain a license for the plugins in my account on the site, 6. create and verify an iLok account, 7. assign inMusic to the account in the license manager, 8. assign a license number to inMusic in iLok and activate. I really don't know what the poet meant by that. Well, when I finished this, (it took 2 hours, including waiting for the delivery of verification emails, downloading programs, sounds and plugins) I could first turn on some of the programs and try how to use it. I found that the device is an empty container and without SW, e.g. Velvet piano, doesn't make a peep. But it was already playing, so I could test it. The sound samples are really good quality, it plays nicely, just the keys are a bit stiff to press for my taste. They have dynamics, so when you go gentle on them, you almost can't hear it, you have to rub them quite a bit, hopefully it will come out over time. Another downside is that when you change the octave down or up, the sound changes from Velvet piano to raw electronic and it takes a while for the piano to come back. But this may be a problem of that one program, I haven't tried more of them in detail. In conclusion, I have to say that apart from the horror with activations and registrations, it is a perfect device for the price, which will certainly be more than usable thanks to a really extensive archive of sounds, instruments and plugins that can be downloaded. But I had to take off half a star for that martyrdom, and I took off one star for limited (practically no) connectivity. For the design, SW equipment and probably also quality, this keyboard would deserve otherwise full number of stars. My rating is 3,5/5
