So far I've been very pleasantly surprised by the excellent functionality and minimal cable resistance after plugging it in. I bought it to power an RTX5090 using an ADATA FUSION 1600W power supply, because the original cable started showing a 'suspicious' voltage drop of 0.4–0.45V under load. After the whole scandal with burnt-out connectors from Nvidia, I've been monitoring the cable's voltage and temperature. So far, I can say that this connecting cable only has a voltage drop of 0.2V under load, and the cable temperature is roughly 5 to 7 degrees lower under load (measured by direct contact with a thermistor from the board). This cable reaches about 52 degrees C at full card load, whereas the previous one was at 59–60 degrees. I opted for the white version, because I think if there were any temperature anomaly, any degradation should be visible on the white cable sleeving – before it completely goes up in flames.
universal design, suitable for any ATX3.1 PCIe5.1 power supply
two colour options
the sleeve with the ROG logo is permanently attached to the cable, so it holds the individual wires firmly in the 16-pin sleeve
Perhaps the price - but you pay for quality.
absence of 90-degree connector variants
