It runs better on Win11 than the internal Realtek 8821 on the HP15 laptop. It's basically a repackaged Realtek 8811 chipset for a great price. I've been spreading wifi5 around the apartment, it's the perfect solution for this. Except I'm amazed at the drivers on the CD nowadays, but on Win11 there's no need to install anything, within seconds it shows up in computer management and then reports itself as wifi2. The original card can be disabled, this will fully replace it.

That it will be no hit parade, it must be clear given the price and the absence of an external antenna, but I wanted the adapter as a temporary emergency for a week until I pull the metallic and the transfer speed I did not so much address, however, the constant drop in connection speed to zero makes it unusable in my case anyway.

Excellent tiny Wi-Fi Mini USB Adapter with WiFI 5 and absolutely seamless installation. At least in relation to an older PC with Win10, where you just plug it into a USB port and the adapter is ready to use. I use the adapter in an older desktop PC in a room about 8m from the router, including one wall. The speed is somewhere towards 80Mb/s which is quite good for not very good conditions (wall, PC under the table). For browsing the Internet, Youtube, Netflix it is quite sufficient (no outages, lags I did not notice). I rate the excellent price/performance ratio.

Overall satisfaction. The supplied older software (on the CD and on the manufacturer's website it is the same) is fortunately not needed at all in Windows 10 / 11, it works plug and play.
Meets expectations, hassle-free installation, reasonable price.
Due to the lack of an external antenna, the range is limited as a hotspot, which is of course to be expected.

I have a router through the wall and the transfer rate is max 40 Mbps
When playing a 4K YouTube video, the app crashes after a few minutes and the wifi crashes and the USB dongle needs to be pulled out and the app killed in taskmanager.
I'd probably take a different brand next time
