I have an old cloud 2 at home that came with an external sound card. when I hooked the new ones up to the sound card, they played great. I was lucky to have them at home.
I take it that they don't normally roll around in your house, and without that sound card they didn't play much better than the old ones.
Recommendations? I'd pay extra for the HyperX cloud alpha wireless. thanks to the usb dongle they have an amplifier in them and they sound perfect
the volume control on the cable was right where it would get stuck the most. I've been testing them for an hour, and the little guy is freaking out.

I was buying these headphones for gaming and work purposes. The headphones are nice, comfortable and good quality. Unfortunately, the microphone is lagging. Any setting is inoperative. On any app or game, I have to overboost my microphone so everyone can hear me. Across the board, it's interesting that when I don't have it set up this way, I can hear the video I'm playing on my PC. So my voice can't be heard, or it's very quiet and the things I'm listening/watching are heard more than me. Absolutely poor design, inability to update firmware (page unavailable, unsupported) not to mention volume adjustment on the cable. It's right on point. Where as a taller person I have a desk level therefore my headphones often get disconnected or muted because I hit the side of the desk with it. It would be better to leave it on the left or right handset. At that price, it's more for listening to videos or watching movies and not for gaming.
