I've been debating for a long time whether it's time to replace the 8th generation NUC with a newer one, and I got this 13th generation NUC. My main requirement was a 2.5Gbit LAN connector and low power consumption. The device does both. With NVMe + SATA SSD plugged in, idle power consumption is under 5W (Linux Debian 12), under load it has more, but it matches my expectations. I use the NUC as a server that runs 24/7 and has various functions from multimedia server to storage to remote access. Compared to the old NUC with i5, this one with i3 is quieter, although maybe it spins the fan more often for no reason.

Great performance (commensurate with the i3 processor, of course)
2.5Gbit network card
Ability to connect m.2 NVMe + m.2 SATA + SATA drives at the same time
Quiet fan
