I bought the book for my eleven year old son - the pictures confused me and I was expecting a readable children's book. I was a little out of line. Even as an adult, I had trouble reading the chapters. However, the book is great and describes in chronological order what people thought about economics and the workings of the world. The book should be taken as a list of chronological topics and the theory on page 150 can easily replace the theory on page 50. However, the book is interesting and even a fifth grade school child can enjoy it and produce a paper for a financial literacy course. It's not a bedtime read, but it won't get lost in the library.
