TLDR; The camera is only good as evidence in the event of an accident or for casual use, the picture is below average and for this price it could be better. Hello, I recently bought this camera, saying that it should have a good picture according to the YouTube video from LAMAX, but the camera surprised me, didn' t it? it' s such a nice picture, it' s certainly usable, but I' m a bit more demanding. The image is terribly oversaturated and there is no possibility to set the saturation, 4K is interpolated which means that it is calculated from a lower resolution, this has several disadvantages and probably also why the image is not enough for me, then there is a microphone that I would like to have with the camera, it is not necessary when you use the recording as a proof but I like to hear something in the video when I watch it and it bothers me when there is silence with this camera the microphone is very loud and the sound is of poor quality when someone is talking you can' t understand them at all unless they are whispering and it is better to have one off. The application works fine, but it is from developers in Chino and I don' t know if it can be fully trusted, but it helped when setting up the camera, which leads me to the fact that the camera cannot record the speed independently, you have to turn on the date, which will automatically add " LAMAX" to the shot if it was the only problem with the camera, I' ll forgive it and it won' t bother me at all, but it would be good if the camera informed you about it somehow, because I only wanted the speed that I turned on, but there was no text anywhere in the recording and I was digging around then in the settings and wondered why it doesn' t work. Fixing with 3M tape is not bad at all, the camera does not fall anywhere, but why does it bother me that I look at other and cheaper cameras that have a much more friendly grip on the glass that does not stick, it is true that it may not hold as well as 3M tape, but I myself have a holder attached in this way on the phone and it works great, as another minus I mentioned the battery, this is annoying because the camera is always on power and is still charging the battery, which is not exactly the best condition for it and will not last as long as cameras with a supercapacitor, which therefore cannot power the camera without connecting it to a cigarette lighter but that' s not a minus for me if the camera is always plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car anyway. The camera is good for the undemanding, but I would still recommend you to look at other cameras at this price, I think you could buy something better.

The update is on request, so email Lamax support for camera data. The update itself is said to take place via a memory card. Lamax does not have PC viewing software either. you need to download adequate software to your PC to be able to edit the video. Honestly, I didn' t notice the difference in picture quality between the fullhd 60 frame and their 4K 30 frame. I will buy something else next time. For 3.5 thousand it is not a hit but not a disappointment either.

For that price, a high-quality and usable picture for insurance events, the comfort is unfortunately made unpleasant by shortcomings that are already standard elsewhere. Compared to other brands or Chinese variants, the camera has a noticeably better image and it is not very good to read the number plates of cars that are in your vicinity while driving, which is the most important for possible protection after an accident. Easy to install and magnetic mount is also a big plus. The camera is also connected to the rear camera and records from both sensors together. On the other hand, the declared 4K resolution is only for the eye and the sensor in the camera is only capable of 2K and the image is expanded to 4K using the SW camera, probably thanks to this you cannot use 4K with the rear camera, because the HW/SW of the camera would not be able to handle it. The camera does not have its own USB-C connector and charging is only possible via the base stuck on the car window. Standard phone chargers do not work. Can' t connect to PC - you have to take out the SD card and insert it into the card reader to download the video to the PC. Videos can be downloaded to the phone via an app that often doesn' t work.
