The basket is brilliant; we have the white version, but if it’s not in stock and has to be ordered from the supplier (which is common for this basket on online shops), I’d recommend ordering it either well in advance of your due date or from somewhere else. We were the only ones among our friends who ordered it from Alza, and we waited three months for it; the delivery date was pushed back every few days, whilst everyone else had theirs delivered within a month at the latest. (It wasn’t in stock anywhere at the time.) I’d previously ordered the green version from elsewhere; it arrived within a month, but the colour was nothing like the pictures and it looked cheap – just a garishly coloured piece of plastic. Based on what we saw on Vinted – and the same applies to other colours – I’d recommend looking for real-life photos or popping in somewhere to have a look at it in person, if it’s in stock.

It doesn’t smell (you mustn’t forget to turn the opening upwards straight away every time; otherwise, of course, a stench might escape, as people mention in the reviews; in any case, at least for babies who are exclusively breastfed and haven’t started solids yet, the nappies don’t smell anyway)

It’s a bit of a trap for first-time parents. Baby nappies don’t really smell that much, so there’s no need to worry about them too much. A completely ordinary bin with a lid is perfectly adequate, and what’s more, it will have more space inside, as that space is taken up by the magic mechanism.
