Purchased to replace an older Roomba vacuum cleaner. When a new battery for an old vacuum cleaner costs 1,000 Kč, the price of 3,500 Kč for a new vacuum cleaner seems like a good deal. Unfortunately, it can’t get over thresholds, so I’ll have to opt for a higher-end model with features I won’t use (this isn’t a fault with the product; the manufacturer states the threshold height the vacuum cleaner can clear as 1.8 cm; mine is 2.2 cm, so unfortunately it only manages to get over it on one out of every two attempts).
Perfect price/performance ratio.
Even in a flat that had previously been hoovered with an older hoover, the new one picked up a lot of dust (1. (test run).
No Czech user manual is included (but you can download a machine translation of sorts from the Alza website). I wouldn’t mind that, provided the Czech instructions weren’t presented as an advantage in the battle against Chinese online shops.
It offers a wide range of languages that the robot speaks, but Czech isn’t one of them (my mum simply doesn’t speak English). However, the application itself is localised (apart from the help section).
Spot cleaning cannot be started using the button on the appliance, but only via the app.
The robot has fall sensors that stop it before it reaches the top of the stairs, but the user manual requires the stairs to be blocked off with a solid barrier. The manufacturer is thus creating an alibi in case the vacuum cleaner does decide to take a suicidal leap down the stairs (the same applies to this manufacturer’s higher-end model ranges).
The waste collection bin uses a bag (the robot’s own bin is bagless). I would welcome a solution that doesn’t require expensive consumables.
Accessories (bags, brushes, etc.) ) aren't easy to buy. I’d expect to find them under the ‘accessories’ tab, but instead it offers me a mop and a bucket. This is, of course, not a fault with the product, but with Alza.
Managing maps in the app is rather unintuitive (it refuses to split a room and doesn’t say why; you can’t delete a room). ). Fortunately, you only need to create the map once.
