I bought a cheaper pair of wired headphones from the same manufacturer (Onikuma K9 Black) a while back; I was happy with them, but after just under a year the cable started playing up. So I decided to buy these headphones as a replacement. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as soon as I unpacked them (the headphones don’t have a 3.5mm port – just USB – and the cable is far too short – a metre shorter than promised in the description). Another disappointment came when I put them on – the earrings were too small, and I had to spend half a minute trying to position them so they wouldn’t press into my ear. Now that we’ve managed that, there are two more problems – your ear touches the hard plastic inside, and even the slightest movement of the earphones can be felt and heard. Pairing with a mobile phone or connecting from a PC via a dongle was quick, but the sound quality… worse than a 100-crown pair of earbuds, and the left ear was louder than the right. I’d had them on my head for 10 minutes, took them off – as they’d given me a headache – packed them away again and went to make a complaint.

The wireless connection is fast

The earrings are small and soft, designed more for children. Even if you manage to position it around your ear, it still touches the hard plastic on the inside.

The headphones only have a USB-C port for wired connection. The set includes an approximately 1.2m USB-C to 3.5mm jack cable and a 1m USB-C to USB-A cable for charging. The product description states that it comes with a 2.2-metre connection cable. This looks more like a scam than a mistake.

Do not use whilst charging. The headphones switch off automatically when a USB-C cable is connected (regardless of which cable is used or whether the other end is plugged into anything); they cannot be switched on whilst this is happening.

The backlight only works in wireless mode.
