If you’re looking for a pleasant, sweet or fresh fragrance that your colleagues in the office will love, steer well clear of Paris Corner Hurriya. This is a completely faithful, dark and rugged interpretation of Tom Ford’s legendary niche fragrance, Tuscan Leather. Forget the modern mainstream, with its scent of cleanliness and vanilla. Hurriya is pure, undiluted dominance, relying on raw masculinity and strength. Women don’t usually take to it straight away, simply because it’s so different from what they’re used to. The fragrance opens with a very intriguing hint of sweet raspberry and thyme, which, however, serves merely as a softening base for what is to follow. Once the fragrance has settled, an uncompromising burst of rugged black leather, suede and smoky incense takes centre stage. The result is a fragrance that evokes the interior of a new luxury car, an expensive leather jacket and heavy wooden furniture. It is an incredibly dense, dry and dark composition. Absolutely unsuitable for summer or for wearing indoors during the day. Her natural habitat is cooler weather, an evening bar, a pub or a rock club. The potency of this perfume is a story in itself and requires the utmost care when applying it. Given the high concentration and potent nature of the ingredients, 1 to 2 sprays are more than enough. Any heavy application is sure to fill the room and turn the luxurious leathery scent into a suffocating cloud.
