The scale's built-in battery is a huge advantage for us. In the previous ordinary scale we changed the two flat batteries quite often, and in the long run we may have gotten the same price as the Black Mirror by investing. In addition, Timemore does not turn itself off after a few tens of seconds and even if the display turns off after a few minutes, the values are not reset. With the old scale, it was a constant frustration when the scale would shut off if there was a long delay in making coffee. The scale is accurate, the weighing does not fluctuate with changing the position of the weighed object. The automatic weighing works well, but it is not suitable for all kinds of preparation, because for example when you lift the dripper, the timer stops (it can again be done manually). But it's not a negative. I just use manual or automatic mode as needed. I was considering a cheaper barista scale, but I had the opportunity to try it out and the Black Mirror doesn't hold a candle to the comfort, but more importantly the functionality and workmanship.
