I wanted to switch to this from my first-generation Amazfit Balance because I don't like the newer Amazfits – they're too sporty. On the other hand, their setup is simpler, with the option to select a non-European region to access health features like blood pressure monitoring, sleep apnoea, etc. Xiaomi can do this too, provided I can cope with the app in Chinese and use the Chinese version of Mi Fitness, but blood pressure doesn't work with the global version; the calibration wouldn't start for me. At the same time, I can't get over the different controls, with no option to customise, for example, the buttons and their behaviour for short and long presses. So, after a brief trial, I'm returning it straight away and will be looking to see if Amazfit makes something of high quality but less sporty. Alternatively, I might just have to suck it up; it has blood pressure monitoring and other functions when the region is set to somewhere like Singapore within the standard app and in English/Czech.
