It looks really beautiful. The manual shielding on the headstock is practical and looks a bit retro. And for that, thumbs up. The sound is a lot denser in stereo compared to the AV receiver, and it has a larger volume. The mids are more pronounced, the highs have a piercing clarity, and the bass is accurate and descends to considerably deep levels. I am extremely satisfied with it

I got the Yamaha for only 7,800 with the Alza Days 20 code, so for that price, you can't get anything better. The A-S301 is probably the best of them for the money; higher models have more power, but the AS-301 has plenty, even when you really push it. The Yamaha looks fantastic, and I like it the most out of all the amplifiers. The orange indicator light looks really premium at night.

Bass and mid adjustment, loudness, and a pure direct mode which bypasses all circuits in the Yamaha and plays the sound as it was originally recorded.

Output for an active subwoofer

It doesn't have an HDMI input for sound.

It only has one optical input, there could be at least 2, or ideally 3.

It doesn't have Bluetooth, but this can be sorted with a Bluetooth receiver like the Fiio BR13, which supports LDAC and has its own app with an EQ.

The power cable can't be disconnected like on the higher-end models, but it's not a major issue.
