Skluznice

Switch

Jízda, kdy jezdec jede tak, že má vepředu jinou nohu, než jak je zvyklý. Pokud tedy jezdíte s levou nohou vepředu, switch je pro vás jízda s pravou nohou vepředu.

Inserty

Závity pro přichycení vázání na snowboardu. U dámských snowboardů jsou inserty blíže středu, u freeride prken jsou více vzadu, aby přední část byla odlehčenější.

Grip

Grip je protiskluzová fólie, která se pokládá na horní stranu desky. Vyrábí se v různých stupních hrubosti.

Deska

Plocha boardu, na které stojí jezdec. Pro každý typ jízdy se vyrábí jiná velikost i tvar desky. Kvalitní desky jsou vyrobeny z kanadského javoru.

Downhill

Downhill skating involves high speeds and controlled skids. For downhill skating, longboards with long, broad and solid decks are suitable. Wheels should be wide and have a diameter of over 60 mm. Safety equipment, such as a helmet, gloves, and pads, are also recommended.

Bowl

A space designed for skateboarding that resembles an empty swimming pool.

Trucky

Kovové části, které se šroubují na desku, a na ně se potom připevní kolečka s ložisky. Velikost trucků se odvíjí od šířky desky. Mezi trucky a desku se někdy vkládají gumové podložky.

Segway

Segways are electronic transportation devices that function using a stabilising system and sensors that detect the rider's tilt. For greater stability, they are fitted with handlebars.

Gyroboard

A gyroboard is another name for a hoverboard, a one or two-wheeled transportation device with a sophisticated stabilisation system and buit-in motor. Motion is controlled by special sensors that detect the rider's tilt.

Bearings

The quality of the bearings is indicated using the ABEC scale. This ranges from 1 to 9, where the number 9 represents the best bearing. The better the bearing, the less resistance it has. If you travel more often, we recommend selecting bearings with at least an ABEC 5 rating. Quality bearings should spin quietly and without jolting for a longer period of time than lower quality bearings.
