I bought these chairs because I have similar ones and after about 4 years they started to tear. The tubular construction on these chairs was connected incorrectly so that the fabric on both chairs was excessively stretched in the seat and the seating was incredibly uncomfortable (the corner of the joint pushed into the thigh). Fortunately, I had the whole structure left over from the old chairs, so I transferred the fabric from the new chairs to the old tubes and everything is ok.
