I've been quite happy with this mouse since my student years. I bought this more expensive mouse as a student of transportation design, using mainly Civil3D from Autodesk, with the promise that the scroll wheel would not go away (because of which I changed other mice every few months and was really fed up with it), and also that it would be generally more durable and last me years. That I have to admit that the burden of my use has been heavy - whether due to designing (especially in the days of the constant Covidni Home Office) or even the load of gaming. After almost five years of using it, I just started to miss the left button more and more. With the extended warranty still valid, I went to claim the mouse, thinking that it was probably a minor mechanical defect, which would be solved by replacing the part for a small fraction of the purchase price of the mouse itself. Unfortunately, at the end of the complaint period, the mouse was returned with the fact that the fault had not manifested itself in the service and therefore the repair did not take place. For me this was an obvious unwillingness to deal with the complaint at all and a complete disregard for an otherwise satisfied customer! I bought this mouse again anyway, because I was otherwise very happy with it, it really held up under a lot of stress (it wasn't just a set of sculptures glued together) and other family members were otherwise happy with it as well. In any case, I am afraid that the quality of production will decrease with time and that the willingness to deal properly and conscientiously with complaints will be lower and lower.

After less than five years (shortly before the end of the extended warranty), the left button stopped being reliable and started to skip. Strong reluctance in the complaint (sent back just before the end of the deadline for processing, that they said the defect did not manifest itself) - obviously the service for this brand is either undervalued, or induced to make customers have to buy a new one (after all, a mouse with such attributes and otherwise so durable is perhaps the only one on offer here) for about 2000, -. As far as I have read other reviews, others have had the left button go away after three years or even earlier, and even in these reviews users complained about the unwillingness to settle the complaint - something that Alza itself should look into if it doesn't want to lose any of its credibility in this regard.
Over time, with more frequent use, the rubber parts will delaminate.

I adapted to vertical working mice for health reasons and have grown very fond of them. The previous product I had was a cheap Eternico to see if it helped and when the classic went away because of the buttons, I planned something more expensive and better. Which is this product from Logitech. For the money, it delivers the improvements you expect from a higher investment - it holds up well, looks good, I've only charged the mouse twice in a few months (the battery has battery life), and it has very sophisticated features, like working on two PCs. What annoyed me, however, is the need to install Logitech software for some advanced features, which requires an online connection. Ugh, a little too much drama over a mouse.

After a year and a half of use, I can rate the mouse as a device that is very uncomfortable to use. The features and buttons, it's all perfect. Anyone who uses logitech stuff knows. But the material chosen is an absolute tragedy. It started to degrade in the first week of use. I read the mouse every few hours. After a while, you feel like you're holding melted chocolate in your hand. And I'm a person who doesn't suffer from sweaty hands or dirty hands from eating. I touch the mouse with clean hands and after an hour it still looks like I'm eating McDonald's. Very annoying and unpleasant to use at work. I definitely do NOT recommend the mouse. Look for something better.
