Not to mention the not-so-ergonomic solution of attaching the rain cover when you take it off and open it. But the plastic cover is a good advantage. The safe is good, sturdy, all-metal. The supplied dowels and screws are Chinese mud and the dowels are a travesty, so if you fit the Fischer(s) then it's good and functional.
