The Technics SL-1500 C was an immediate hit, it is precision made and plays nicely out of the box. Plus, it's a great foundation for tuning. The packaging materials have been updated and the transfer case is no longer stuck in the polystyrene cavity in the bag. It is placed in a cardboard box together with other small parts. On the box is written in Czech: "Direct drive turntable system". Czech instructions are not present. At my request, Alza provided the Czech manual in PDF, since then it is available for download in the "Advice and guides" section.

The Autolift function has two levels (distance when the carry-arm lifts) of adjustment, the instrument comes with a set level that sometimes causes problems - the carry-arm lifts before the record is finished. This is solved by adjusting the level (arm lift distance) of the Auto Lift. But without a service manual this is not possible. I would appreciate it if the user manual would include this setting with a description of how to change it.
