For years I have been using Genius SP-HF2.0 1250 speakers with my PC (small room). They are quite big for PC, but I was satisfied. But they started to hum, so I decided to buy new ones. I spent a week looking through reviews and listening to various comparisons on YouTube until I decided on the EDIFIER MR4. They came yesterday. They are about 1/3 smaller than the Genius, so I put the new ones on top of the old ones for a test and I couldn't help wondering what kind of sounds were coming out of them. I was very "embarrassed". Anyway, I put the old ones away, put the new ones next to the monitor and put on some music. After about an hour of listening, it dawned on me why the sound seemed strange. TVL. Those boxes reproduce sounds that Genius just couldn't handle. The problem is that I have a pretty decent musical memory and I've been listening to the Geniuses for years and suddenly someone pulls back the curtain. An even bigger surprise was that these "little guys" can handle both classical music and thunderous rock when they get salty. EDIFIER MR4 were a big and pleasant surprise. P. S.: after the reviews I immediately bought a quality signal cable, I did not even try the included one.

What to write. A lot of music for little money. Faithful presentation, absolutely sufficient for a home studio. At a lower volume - about 20% - the bass density disappears a bit (normal user will not notice), but at this size and price the presentation is still above standard and in many ways better than some monitors with a price tag higher than 5000Kč. Light, almost inaudible noise is solved by using a quality cable, the original shoelace catches all frequencies around 10m .

I was looking for a PC speaker for the office and I didn't want a PC dedicated speaker, because of space and also the quality of music reproduction is uncertain. The reviews on Alza didn't lie; -) The speaker is just big enough and the sound. I almost fell off my chair. They can handle pop and rock just fine, especially my favorite Dire Straits just tinkling. Unbelievable for such little guys. The package includes everything you need to connect to your PC within two minutes of playing. The only small disadvantage is the volume control, if the rotary knob does not click, the volume fluctuates, but you get used to it. I click and then I adjust the volume in the player with the mouse.

After studying all sorts of reviews and comparing them with the Presonus Eris E3.5, I decided on the MR4. I got them as a replacement for the Creative A300 (2.1 for a couple of hundred), which I had for over 10 years but recently started to experience various interferences which were quite annoying. Since I am not an audiophile, I cannot fully compare or appreciate the quality of the speakers, however, on first listen I got the same feeling as from the mentioned Creative, with the difference that they had strong bass thanks to the subwoofer. I guess that the main problem will be with the sound source, which I have directly from the integrated sound system in the PC, if the sound system was external, probably the expected wow effect would come.

I purchased the speakers as a replacement for the Creative T20s I've had since their launch and lately they have been increasingly grunting when turned on and it took sometimes tens of minutes for these sounds to settle down.
