As a regular user, what I mainly expect from a phone is long battery life, a quality camera, and a display that's not only comfortable for reading messages and documents but also works just as well for watching videos or communicating, and not just on social media.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has a quality display with a pleasant picture that's easy to read even in various lighting conditions. The camera also deserves high praise. But what surprised me the most were the photos taken at night – in my opinion, it takes truly excellent shots. As a mum of a small child, I also appreciate the phone's durability. You never know when the phone might end up in the hands of a little explorer. That's precisely why it's important to me that I don't have to fear the worst every time it's dropped. Overall, I'm really happy with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G and I'm enjoying discovering everything else it can do. It's a phone that suits me perfectly – it has great battery life that can keep up with you all day long, no matter how demanding it is, a superb camera, a quality display, and it's comfortable to hold even in a smaller woman's hand. I definitely recommend it. The only thing you need to factor in is buying a 100W charger if you want to take full advantage of the really fast charging for the large battery.

Excellent colour display, both in terms of size and colour. Great battery life and very fast charging. The photos have brilliant colour and sharpness. For the price/performance ratio, the mobile is truly great. I'd never used the XIAOMI brand before and I'm pleasantly surprised after buying it.

I have long-term experience with the Xiaomi Redmi Note series, since the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, I think. A brilliant phone for everyday use. The cheaper models go to the kids, I had the PRO 5G version and have always been happy.
I'd perhaps appreciate a better camera - but at this price point, and considering the photos just end up on WhatsApp anyway, it's fine. And in the other areas - which are more important to me - it excels. Fast charging, long battery life, and the option for 2 physical SIM cards.
And those apps you can't uninstall? I just hide them somewhere on the home screen and forget about them. Likewise, I've never noticed any ads in the system.
For me, it's a great phone.
Ideal price/performance ratio for me.

We're testing what it can do, we'll update in a month.
I'm delighted, very strong battery, lasts 3 days with standard use - absolutely fantastic
According to other reviews, it's supposedly heavy, but it isn't, it fits great in your hand.
The reflections and pearly apricot sheen in the light are fantastic.
very fast system
Takes brilliant photos, really beautiful pictures and the stabiliser is an excellent accessory.
Takes beautiful photos even underwater and we tried it out straight away.
a really great phone - price/performance ratio
The packaging includes a black silicone case, it's a shame it's not transparent (it would look nice).

I chose this phone based on its large battery capacity, but I've been pleasantly surprised by its other features too. It's my first experience with this brand so far, and I'd say I made a good choice; I rate the phone positively.
Sufficient storage
Large battery capacity
Excellent music volume, both on the phone itself and through the headphones.
Nothing so far, I've only had the phone for a day.

I had a Xiaomi for 6 years before this, and I was very happy with it, which is why I've bought the same brand again. What I appreciate most is the battery life, which lasts about 3 days. And the photos are very high quality.
