LP Record Tarantula is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Ride, released shortly after their breakup. The entire original sound has been reworked and refined. Originally released in 1996, Tarantula is Ride's fourth and final album. It is also the only Ride album where Andy Bell sings more lead vocals than frontman Mark Gardener, due to internal conflicts and the band's prior split.
LP Record To celebrate its 30th anniversary, The Cure's album "Wish" has been newly remastered by Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. The English band's ninth album remains one of their most successful to this day. It entered the charts in Germany, the UK, and the USA, and remained there for several weeks. This is likely due in part to the radio hit "Friday I'm In Love".
LP Record - Nas's album Illmatic, released in 1994, is often cited as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. The album was produced by Nas's friend and mentor, legendary producer DJ Premier, and features beats from the biggest names in hip-hop at the time. The album's lyrics were written and performed by Nas, and they tell the story of his life growing up in the Queensbridge projects in New York. Illmatic is considered a classic hip-hop album due to its lyrical prowess, beats, and storytelling.
LP Record Megadeth live in Argentina There are still very few concerts due to coronavirus. Especially gigantic stadium concerts like the one Megadeth played in Argentina in 2005. A recording of this concert performance at the Obras Sanitarias stadium in front of more than 25000 enthusiastic fans is now available in video and audio and in various configurations, thanks to the film "A Night In Buenos Aires". An earlier version of the album was released in 2007 under the title "That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires". At the concert in the Argentinian capital, the band played 19 songs.
LP Record The concert was recorded on 22 November 2001 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam with the European Festival Orchestra, conducted by Wilheilm Keitel. The band asked keyboardist Rick Wakeman to perform at this concert, but he was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict. Tom Brislin took his place on the tour. All the big riffs are there, and Jon Anderson's voice sounds just as it did back in the day. As for the symphonic interpretation led by Wilheilm Keitel, the orchestra plays more of a supporting role here.
LP Record The album "Howlin' Wolf", also known as "The Rockin' Chair Album" due to its cover art, is a seminal blues record by the legendary Chicago blues artist Chester Burnett, professionally known as Howlin' Wolf. Released in 1962 on Chess Records, the album is a collection of twelve powerful tracks that showcase Howlin' Wolf's raw, guttural voice and his ability to convey deep emotion through his music. Standout tracks include "Back Door Man" and "Spoonful", both penned by the iconic blues songwriter Willie Dixon, which have become blues standards covered by numerous artists.

LP Record Originally released in 1972, Earthbound was one of the first bootlegs (if not the very first) by a major rock group. Earthbound consists of a series of lo-fi live recordings from the band's Island Tour era lineup in the USA. In the UK, it was initially excluded from the main album chart due to its mid-price point, but it topped the mid-price chart alongside Jim Reeves & Mantovani. Like the later live album USA, Earthbound was not released on CD for many years, and it wasn't until 2002 that both USA and Earthbound were issued on CD.

LP Record A classic turns 50. It's been 50 years since the release of The Doors' legendary studio album, "The Soft Parade". To mark this special anniversary, a 50th Anniversary Deluxe edition is being released in 2019. "The Soft Parade" is the fourth album from the rock legends. Originally released in July 1969, many fans consider it an outlier due to its horn and string arrangements. Despite this, it reached number six in the American charts. For the reissue, the tracks have been remastered by long-time Doors engineer and mixer Bruce Botnick. In addition to the standard CD, "The Soft Parade (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)" is available as an expanded set with three CDs and an LP.
LP Record Tubular Bells III is the eighteenth album by Mike Oldfield, released in 1998. It follows Oldfield's albums Tubular Bells from 1973 and Tubular Bells II from 1992, and was released to mark the 25th anniversary of the original Tubular Bells album. Although sceptics and critics at the time naturally thought that Mike Oldfield was just going to keep re-releasing his first album "Tubular Bells" due to a lack of new ideas, this third instalment offers more than just good entertainment. While the melody and structure of Oldfield's work draw from his good old classics (and I'm sure for good reason), it still finds itself very much in the "here and now", presented in a much more modern package.
LP Record Mogwai celebrated their 25th anniversary this year. In 2021, the dark post-punk spirit from Glasgow releases a new, tenth studio album. "As The Love Continues" is the title of the eagerly awaited successor to their 2017 album, "Every Country's Sun". Mogwai recorded eleven songs for the record. The band once again brought in Dave Fridmann for production. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the album was recorded at Vada Studios in the UK, while Fridmann produced it in the USA. "As The Love Continues" also features guest contributions from none other than Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) and Colin Stetson (Arcade Fire, Bon Iver).
LP Record Since the release of their breakthrough album "Singles", the status of Future Islands has changed dramatically: from an underground cult to a synth-pop icon. This is mainly due to addictive songs like "Seasons (Waiting On You)", which have earned the Baltimore band a constantly growing fan base. "The Far Field" continues the success story of 2014 with irresistible hooks and disarmingly sincere lyrics. During the recording, Samuel T. Herring (vocals, lyrics), William Cashion (bass, guitar) and Gerrit Welmers (keyboards) received studio support from their live drummer Michael Lowry for the first time.
LP Record A new testament With "Magma", Gojira releases their new album in 2016. Released by Roadrunner Records, this is the sixth studio effort from the French metal combo. In November 2014, the band began building their own studio in the Queens borough of New York City: Silver Cord Studio. Once it was completed in early 2015, Gojira started writing and recording the new album. However, these sessions were put on hold for a time due to a death in the family of singer Joe and drummer Mario Duplantier. In early 2016, they finally completed the recording and mixing. "Magma" is the name of the ten-track result, from which Gojira has already released two singles in advance: "Stranded" and "Silvera".
LP Record This third album by Dire Straits was recorded in 1980 at the Power Station studio in New York. Along with "Tunnel of Love" and "Romeo and Juliet", it features two of the band's most popular songs. In total, "Making Movies" has been certified 6x gold and 7x platinum internationally. David Knopfler left Dire Straits during the recording of their third album, "Making Movies", due to differing opinions on the division of roles within the band. He felt restricted by his brother Mark and his own song contributions were not being heard. David's departure coincided with Mark Knopfler's ambition to further develop his songwriting skills – which, fortunately, he succeeded in doing.
LP Record The Cult is fronted by Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar). Their music and albums need little introduction, as they have established themselves as one of the greatest rock bands since their formation in 1983. In 1994, they released their sixth, self-titled album, The Cult, which is also known as the "Black Sheep" album due to its cover art. It was recorded with Sonic Temple producer Bob Rock and is a very personal album, with many of the narrative themes relating to Astbury's younger years. Unlike their previous albums, this one was a slower burn, opening up more with each listen. The album is considered an overlooked and underrated gem and preceded the band's break-up in 1995.

LP Record Live orchestral album Architects were founded in 2004 in Brighton, East Sussex, by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. Today, the band consists of Dan Searle on drums, Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass guitar, and Adam Christianson and Josh Middleton on guitars. Over their career, the metalcore band has released nine studio albums and, in 2022, will also release a live album: "For Those That Wish To Exist At Abbey Road". The title reveals several key facts: the album was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, but not in front of an audience like a traditional live album. Instead, it was recorded for a global concert broadcast on 11 December 2021 due to the pandemic.
Music CD Seven years, not in Tibet, but waiting for a reissue: "The Buddha Of Suburbia" is back. We are talking about the DAVID BOWIE album of the same name, which has finally been reissued after seven years – and will hopefully now achieve the status this work deserves. However, the story behind it is rather complicated. Based on the semi-autobiographical bestseller of the same name by British writer of Indian origin Hanif Kureishi, the BBC filmed a mini-series to which DAVID BOWIE contributed several pieces of film music. More or less alongside the TV broadcast, he released an album under the same title, which was classified as a soundtrack – probably due to the media campaign surrounding the book and film – but this is completely incorrect.
LP Record The album "Presence" was recorded during 18 days of turbulent studio sessions at Musicland Studios in Munich. This triple-platinum album – which hit number one on the charts in the USA and the UK – is packed with high-energy classics like "Nobody's Fault But Mine" and "Achilles Last Stand", showcasing Led Zeppelin at the peak of their creative powers. In fact, a stadium tour across the USA was planned for Led Zeppelin. However, that summer, Robert Plant and his wife were involved in a serious car accident in Rhodes. The tour was cancelled due to Robert Plant's broken ankle. The decision was made to start recording their seventh album at very short notice. Robert Plant spent most of his time in the studio in a wheelchair.
LP Record There's no doubt that Kaipa was Sweden's number one progressive rock band in the 1970s. However, looking back, the band's high status is certainly also due to the major international reputation now enjoyed by Roine Stolt (Transatlantic, The Flower Kings, Steve Hackett Band), the guitarist from the original 1975 lineup. With his band "The Flower Kings", he played a key role in putting prog rock back on the map in the 1990s and 2000s. Furthermore, under the leadership of founding member, keyboardist, singer, and main songwriter Hans Lundin, Kaipa has been more productive than ever since 2002, releasing a total of seven internationally successful albums. From the band's beginnings in the mid-70s, Kaipa has always been Hans Lundin's brainchild.
LP Record Blue Öyster Cult's eighth album, "Fire of Unknown Origin" from 1981, features the hit single "Burnin' for You" (No. 1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart). For this work, they once again brought together their successful songwriting team of Patti Smith and dark fantasy author Michael Moorcock. The track "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the band's finest works, partly due to its length and song structure. "Fire of Unknown Origin" was the last studio album with the original lineup before a seven-year hiatus. In many ways, it represents the end of an era, as Blue Öyster Cult struggled to find favour with critics and radio in the following years. Despite everything, this album is and remains an incredible masterpiece of their golden age.
LP Record Released in 2006, Megadeth's 'Unplugged in Boston' is an acoustic recording of the band's performance at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The album features stripped-back versions of classic Megadeth tracks like "Peace Sells", "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due", and "Symphony of Destruction", as well as a cover of "Anarchy in the U.K." by the Sex Pistols. 'Unplugged in Boston' is a must-listen for Megadeth fans, offering a unique and intimate glimpse into the band's live show.
