Built-In Microwaves

The main advantage of built-in microwave ovens is the fact that they save a lot of space. Before buying an oven, consider how much space you have and what you are planning to use it for. Aside from basic heating and defrosting, the more advanced microwaves also offer features such as a grilling or steaming.

Generally ranges from 15 to 50 litres. If you intend to use the microwave for thawing larger foodstuffs (e.g. poultry), choose a microwave with a capacity of 20 litres or more.

Wattage

Affects the length of cooking (1000 W is usually enough). Microwave ovens equipped with a grill also list a separate wattage for the grill (should be at least 1300 W).
