Einstürzende Neubauten: Ende Neu
LP Record A reissue of the cult band's 1996 album, plus bonus material. On 1st April 1996, the sixteenth anniversary of the band's founding, Blixa Bargeld wrote the lyrics for the song "Ende Neu", which soon became the title track of Einstürzende Neubauten's seventh album – a work that marked a turning point in the band's history. Although the quartet of composers once again delved into their archives of industrialised modern music for this production, the tracks had never before been as harmonious and lyrical as on "Ende Neu". Probably the most famous track is the ballad "Stella Maris", performed as a duet by Blixa Bargeld and Meret Becker and orchestrated with opulent strings. The press also had words of praise for this work.
