LP Record Close to the Edge is an album by the progressive rock group Yes, released in 1972. It is their third studio album and is considered a groundbreaking album in the progressive rock genre. The album was recorded at Morgan Studios in London and produced by the group and Eddie Offord. The album has been described as a "three-part suite that pushed the boundaries of rock music". The first part, "The Solid Time of Change", is a six-minute instrumental piece, in which Rick Wakeman plays a Moog synthesiser solo. The second part, "Total Mass Retain", is a nine-minute piece with lyrics by Jon Anderson. The third and final part, "I Get Up, I Get Down", is a ten-minute song with lyrics by Anderson and Chris Squire.

LP Record The duo recorded their first album as Simon & Garfunkel in 1964, creating a record that sounds different from the music they released in later years. Between the release of the album "Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M." and their second album, Simon & Garfunkel scored a major folk-rock hit with "The Sound Of Silence". This album includes the original acoustic version of that song, which would become the title track of the folk duo's next and much more successful album. When the album's producer, Tom Wilson, noticed the song was getting increasing radio airplay, he had Bob Dylan's studio musicians record additional audio tracks with electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums. The edited version of the song was released as a single without Simon & Garfunkel's knowledge.
