Mnemosynean features an extensive collection of all of Katatonia's rarities and B-sides, including tracks from the band's numerous EPs, limited special editions, cover versions, and a variety of collaborative remixes. The journey of "Mnemosynean" spans from the gothic, experimental epic "Scarlet Heavens," recorded in 1994, to tracks recorded during the sessions for the outstanding 2016 album "The Fall of Hearts." The intriguing title "Mnemosynean" itself means 'memories' and was chosen because of inscriptions on tombs from 400 BC.
