A very handy power strip with a car charger. For the price, it's great. It works, it has all the necessary functions, and the electronics look well designed. The mechanical aspects are a little lacking, but it’s nothing that’s critical to how it works, and anyone who has the opportunity can easily improve it.
Integrated standard tubular fuse F10A
Standalone USB port with QC 4.0 support
The USB port with a current of 3.1A on both the box and the plug is connected independently of each other
A sufficiently strong, double-insulated connecting cable
3 additional cigarette-lighter sockets
2x USB-C
Price
Built-in voltmeter on the plug
An attempt to imitate the texture of carbon fibre fabric
I don’t like the use of blue LEDs. What’s more, the USB port on the plug is made entirely of clear plastic and glows a lovely blue all over.
The plug does not make a firm enough contact and does not fit securely in some car sockets. The contacts are made of a very hard material which will snap immediately if you try to pre-tension the spring inside the plug. In the end, I sorted it out by replacing the spring inside with a piece of rubber. It holds up really well after that.
The power sockets are very smooth and have no locking points or any other grooves, etc. Some of the plugs don’t stay in place very securely.
The plastic and finish look a bit cheap, but this is excusable given the price
The exits are on different sides. With the USB port on the side and the socket on the front, it ends up looking a bit like a ‘vulnerable spider’. It would be better to have all the outputs on one side, even if this meant the unit was larger in one direction.
On my unit, the fuse fitting had been fitted incorrectly at the factory – it was screwed on. However, it was easy to sort out.
