I really had to dig deep in my pockets for these Garmins, I'd been looking at models in the 3,000–5,000 range for a long time, but in the end I decided to go for quality + I was impressed by the combination of features on the Venu 4. This is a model that's specifically aimed at people who are "in-between" – those who appreciate the sports functions but also the elegant look and the smart and lifestyle features. The Silver/Citron version is the only one of the three variants that offers an all-grey body (unlike the Silver/Grey, where the watch body is black). I think very few people know this and it's not mentioned in reviews at all, I only noticed it by chance. Given that the quick release straps cost 200 crowns, I recommend choosing based on the body you like, not the strap.
Measures ECG, heart rate, breathing, etc.
Sleep, body battery, stress, training readiness and a lot of other really useful metrics and functions that I was a bit sceptical about, but which seem very accurate to me so far.
Focus modes (for example, you can set the display to turn off and lock during a certain activity, while for another it will have the always-on display and maximum brightness)
Super easy connectivity with the chest strap and similar peripherals. I connected a cheap strap from Decathlon to the watch in literally under a minute.
The app and the Garmin ecosystem, I really like the whole thing. It's intuitive, clear and doesn't force things on me that I don't want.
The glass could be sapphire, and the shape of the display is quite tricky. I've already applied two screen protectors incorrectly and I'm starting to get quite frustrated. I'm the last person who would pay for someone to apply a screen protector, but you might want to consider it.
The lemon-coloured strap is exceptionally ugly (at least to me), but unfortunately the all-grey body isn't sold in any other colour variant (only in the configurator on the Garmin website).
