I have a nice big custom made thick leather pad on my desk, but I've gotten into the habit of using a gaming pad as protection for everyday work on it / I do a lot of things on my desk, not just computer work).
The old pad was due for replacement, so we chose this one to try.
It looks very nice, but it's not for all-day computer work, because it feels like emery on the skin. for other odd jobs and activities I can well imagine.
Looks good.
Pleasantly warm pad
Quality workmanship
You can see every crumb, speck and spot on it and it's hard to clean
The surface is quite cheeky, so after a while you have chafed skin on your wrist/forearm where you are leaning on the pad

Holding in place
It takes a long time to flatten out the original roll on the table

rougher surface than I expected
the mouse sometimes stutters, I'll see in time
even after 8 hours it "remembers" that it was rolled up in the package and gets up from the table
