Power Banks

Power Banks, or external battery chargers, are highly convenient portable devices that allow you to charge your mobile phone, tablet or laptop on the road where there is no electricity supply. Simply connect your Power Bank to a compatible device and the charging starts immediately.

You can recharge a Power Bank by connecting it to your desktop or notebook PC, an adapter, or other compatible device via Micro-USB/USB.

Choosing the right Power Bank


Power Banks mostly differ in the built-in battery capacities.

  • up to 6000 mAh – suitable for charging mobile phones and other compact devices such as MP3/4 players, etc.
  • over 6000 mAh – suitable for charging both mobile phones and tablets. This group also includes Power Banks designed for laptops. In order to recharge a laptop, the Power Bank must feature an outlet for notebook power cord.

The output current of each port is another important aspect.

Basically, the larger the output current, the faster the charging is. However, to avoid any damage you must check the maximum current your device can process. Standard output currents are:

  • 2.1 A - i.e. fast charging port – suitable for large-scale charging. Ideal for charging tablets, or fast charging of mobile phones.
  • 1 A - standard port – Suitable for low-capacity rechargeable batteries. Ideal for mobile phones or other small devices.

Finally, it's important to find out whether the Power Bank comes with an USB, Lightning, or laptop cord. Some models include no cables, meaning it must be purchased separately.
