Digital cameras are divided into compact digital cameras and digital SLR cameras. Compact digital cameras are suitable for beginners to more expereinced users. They are versitile, small in size, light, and very user-friendly. These cameras are ideal for capturing snapshots from vacations, trips or family celebrations. Digital SLRs are designed for advanced photographers who want to shoot quality photos. SLRs have significantly better specifications than compact cameras, including scanning parameters, faster shutters and larger sensor chips. The quality of the resulting images taken with SLRs highly depends on the manual settings for each individual scene. SLRs are perfect for taking portraits, landscapes and sports photographs.
