Oliver Sim: Hideous Bastard Ltd Clr
LP Record Oliver Sim didn't actually want to follow in the footsteps of his bandmates from The xx, Romy Madley Croft and Jamie Smith, and start a solo project. He didn't think he had the courage for it either. However, while working on the track "Romance with a Memory" with Jamie xx, he was told: "I think you should make a full-length record." And so he decided to make it happen. This marked the beginning of the long and arduous birth of "Hideous Bastard", Oliver Sim's solo debut album, which will be released on Young. "I spent almost three years asking myself questions and searching for answers while writing," Sim describes the album's creation process. The revelation of his HIV status haunts the record thematically, just as it has always overshadowed his life.

Manic Street Preachers: This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours CLR
LP Record This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours is the fourth studio album by the Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. It was released on 14 September 1998 by the record label Epic. The album was written by the band's lyricist and rhythm guitarist, Richey Edwards, and guitarist James Dean Bradfield, with Mike Hedges as producer. Musically, the album moves away from the band's earlier guitar-driven sound, featuring string arrangements, brass instruments, and gospel choirs. Thematically, the album explores Edwards's battle with mental illness, political and social disillusionment, and the death of his friend and bandmate, guitarist and lyricist Richey Edwards.
Quicksand: Interiors Ltd Clr
LP Record The reunion already happened back in 2012, but it was "only" followed by a sold-out world tour. The New York band, which alongside iconic frontman Walter Schreifels (vocals, guitar) still consists of Tom Capone (guitar), Sergio Vega (bass guitar), and Alan Cage (drums), has now finally followed up on this brief interlude with an album: "Interiors". After their debut "Slip" (1993) and "Manic Compression" (1995), this is, incredibly, only the third LP record from Quicksand ever. It is being released on Epitaph, as befits their status. The band originally formed in the late eighties from the bands Gorilla Biscuits, Youth Of Today, Bold and Beyond with the aim of breaking free from the relatively clear-cut boundaries of hardcore.
