GoGo Penguin: Everything Is Going To Be OK Dlx Clr
LP Record GoGo Penguin return with their new album "Everything Is Going to Be OK". With the optimism of a fresh start – a new drummer, a new record label, and a subtly updated and evolved sound – the Manchester trio are embarking on a sonically liberated journey. The first taste of this upcoming era is the new single "Glimmerings". "'Glimmerings' was one of the first tracks we started working on when we were developing ideas for the new album. The word 'Glimmerings' came to me while I was reading a book by Anil Seth called 'Being You'. The book is about the science of consciousness, and in the prologue, he talks about 'glimmerings of nascent thoughts'. It seemed to me the perfect way to describe the process of thought and creativity."

MF DOOM: Madvillainy
LP Record MF Doom and Madlib are Madvillain. The two met in 2002 and soon began working on the album Madvillainy, which was completed the following year and released in 2004. The album went against all the usual conventions of contemporary hip-hop: short songs, a gritty sound, no choruses, and lyrical themes that weren't always immediately clear on first listen. The album received the most critical acclaim of any hip-hop album released in 2004 and continues to generate interest and controversy years later.
Talking Heads: Remain in Light
LP Record In 1980, this album came as a somewhat – and pleasant! – surprise from veterans Talking Heads. Along with other musicians, they created a much fuller and funkier sound than on previous albums. The first three songs are individual dance parties, repeating musical and lyrical lines endlessly. What's more, the melodies are incredibly catchy and will stay in your head for days. "Once in a Lifetime" was a huge hit, but the most rock-oriented track is number three, "The Great Curve".
