LP Record In 1939, bandleader Barney Rapp was looking for a singer for his band. From 200 applicants, he chose Doris Kappelhoff. Rapp particularly liked her rendition of the song "Day After Day" and suggested the stage name "Day". Ms Kappelhoff accepted his suggestion. This marked the beginning of her brilliant singing career. Sony is releasing this commemorative album featuring 16 of her biggest and most beloved songs.
